Looking your best with make-up
One of the safest ways of ensuring you look your best on your wedding day is to hire a make-up artist who can offer their professional opinion and try out firsthand several looks. However if this is not within your budget there are a few tips which with a little practice you can do yourself and still look fabulous.
1. Invest in a good foundation primer. This evens out skin tone, lessens shine and will help to ensure the rest of your make-up stays in place all day.
2. Wear a foundation as close to your natural skin colour as possible.
3. Use a concealer to hide dark under-eye circles and cover any blemishes.
4. Set your base with powder to keep your look from slipping as the day goes on and stop your skin from shining.
5. Apply blusher on the apples of your cheeks to give you a natural-looking glow.
6. Use a light eyeshadow to open up your eyes and eyeliner to enhance your look.
7. Applying two coats of mascara is a must. Make it waterproof in case of tears!
8. Lips are down to personal choice. For a strong, romantic look a deep red often works. Or if you wish to look more natural, a nude lip gloss will enhance the shape of your lips. If applying lipstick use a lip liner as close to the lipstick shade as possible to keep the colour from bleeding.
